This morning I read an article by Kathy Schiffer. My recent Church history is very patchy, and this gave me a big piece of the missing chunk, explaining why consecrated life experienced such a decline between 1970 and 2000.

Such a tragic state of affairs for everyone. Sounds like most of those poor nuns were like deer in the headlights, confused and even paralyzed. We should pray for all souls involved. Especially for our Bishops, that they may discern the truth swiftly, and speak it with clarity and lovingkindness.
